IELTS is accepted by more than 11,000 organisations worldwide. These include universities, immigration departments, government agencies, professional bodies and multinational companies.
In accordance with British Council, scoring 9 bands in the IELTS exam indicates that you are an expert while getting 8 bands indicates that you are “very good” and so on. The test scores in the exam range from 1-9 i.e. non-user to expert and 0 for “did not attempt”. Register at AEOC for IELTS MINUTES and get a score of 7 or above.
There are two types of IELTS test: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.
If you plan to study in higher education or seek professional registration in an English-speaking country, you might need to take an IELTS Academic.
If you plan to move abroad for work or migrate to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK or the USA, you might need to take an IELTS General Training. If you plan to study in higher education or seek professional registration in an English-speaking country, you might need to take an IELTS Academic.
An IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is valid for two (2) years.
With a score of 6.5 no individual band less than 6.0 should suffice. However, if you are planning on applying for health-related courses, you should target higher.
